Details on a body harvesting ring operating in NJ, NY, and PA are emerging.
Corpses were purchased from funeral homes in low-income areas and everything from bones to heart valves to skin was harvested and sold. Medical records were forged, meaning potentially diseased parts were sold to legitimate companies and tissue banks. It is estimated 10,000 persons in the USA, Britain, and Canada have received body parts or tissues from this operation.
