Ah, but madness has a Queen.

The Queen of All Madness

The title is what really makes it. :)

Did she title it?

Yep, that's what she called it. I asked her what it was a drawing of (you learn to ask, because if you guess and you're wrong, she gets quite upset with you), and she said it was The Queen of All Madness.

Which I found more than slightly awesome.

Kinda looks like a villan from the Power Puff Girls, the drawing style and all.

Kid's got class. *nod nod*

She is also self-deprecating about her work when you compliment her... not sure where that's coming from. At 5yrs old?

could it just be modesty? She is wise for her years...

i worry that she's got her dad's almost crippling perfectionism. this morning, as i was compimenting her on it once again, she was practically demanding that it be destroyed rather than let her grandmother see it.

perfectionism is an inherited trait :)

That is odd she doesn't want her grandmother to see it... makes me wonder if that is who the picture is of?

I think it is a great picture... how she represents movement and caos(gosh i can't spell)

No, she often says that... she wants to get rid of something she doesn't like instead of letting other people see it.

For instance, once made a drawing in pre-school for Mom-mom, and on the way to the car a raindrop hit it and made a blur spot. 24x36" sheet, one smaller than a dime spot. She was SO upset, wanted it torn up instead of giving it to Mom-mom.

I do not have "almost crippling perfectionism". That's too broad a statement.

he said, correcting me.

;)

you throw away things that others would broadcast to the world, bursting with pride, my dear.

... he said defending himself!

When it comes to creating things or making things, I admit I attempt to hold myself to a higher standard. "If it's worth doing, it worth doing well." and all that. That is not the same as crippling perfectionism though. It just means I take pride in my work and try to do a good job at it.

Does that make her (http://www.loveofanime.com/sailor_moon_in_pose.jpg) the Queen of All Sanity?

She and her sister draw all the time. They mostly draw fairies, or "paper dolls", which are just any drawing of a person they decide to cut out.

I love kid's artwork. It really shows what they have inside, because they are so uncensored.
