TGIF, people.
Feb. 21st, 2003 08:35 amTGIF and good riddance to this week. I'm tired of being sick, sick of being tired. The haze from doubling up last night on my dose of 12 hr alleive is lifting, with the usual odd brain shivers and whatnot. I wanted to sleep last night so I took a double dose. It was worth it though, I got some sleep and am feeling somewhat better today.
I was just looking at my ETSU id card, and it looks like I have lazy eye. This may be one of the all-time worst id shots ever taken of me. I was talking to one of my ex-coworkers (future coworkers?) and laughing when they took the shot. I look like I just got off the special kids bus. :-P~~
Had a great night after the kids went to bed, cuddling with Althaea and watching a movie. We watched "Ordinary Decent Crimminal" with Kevin Spacey. At first I thought he was IRA, but later you get that he's somewhat less and more than that. The portrayal was humanizing and warm-hearted, and his character was very likable. The film itself is so-so, not that engaging, but pretty good. Pay attention though, the way scenes are cut is a little confusing at times.
Interestingly, Kevin Spacey's character Michael Lynch lived in a triad, consisting of he, his wife (played by Linda Fiorentino), and his wife's sister (played by Helen Baxendale). The film treated the subject quite positively, showed happy kids, good fathering, good mothering (from both moms), and no unhappiness with the arrangment from any of them. I don't recall ever seeing a film that treated a poly relationship this positively. Hmm, how about that. :) I'm encouraged.
