Woohoo!

We're in the Big Easy! Surprise 10th anniversary gift from my sweetie. Rumor is we are to meet cuntishness & co. tonight.

And just for the record, i am likely to misspell every place name I attempt.

So far...

• We wandered around City Park in Matterie... which is huge. And overgrown and still in disrepair from Katrina. I found it more magical for it.
• Explored some of the destroyed areas just over the bridge from Slidell... I don't think people realize what it's like here. For miles, abandoned neighborhoods. Some people working on houses and such, but... so strange. No living. We went though an abandoned apartment complex... probably a dozen buildings, six to twelve apartments each. Not a soul. No kids, no homeless... nobody. So strange.
• We visited one of the cemeteries... I must visit more. The spirits are not shy about letting their wishes be known.
• Strolled down bourbon st, hung out in Jackson square, had daquirororisis. I can never spell that.
• Found our B&B, which used to be a bordello, and is gorgeous.
