annoyed...

Last night I purchased a Netgear SC101 toaster. Ok, it's not a toaster. It's a network storage enclosure. You put in some hard drives, plug it into an ethernet cable, and the computers on your network can share it. I tried for two hours to get this thing to work, only to dig up the following gem buried on the third page of the "advanced troubleshooting" guide.
"SC101 won't work with non-NETGEAR routers
Routers from other companies are known to have bugs that cause the SC101 not to work. NETGEAR is in the process of working around these bugs in other companys' products, and firmware fixes for some may become available."
So let me get this straight... your device works ONLY on your routers, so all the other companies must be making defective products? Puhleeze. If I have to use a Netgear router for it to work, you would think that would constitute a SYSTEM REQUIREMENT and should be noted on the box.
It's going back, and I'm taking a print out of the support page to show them why.
Just a suggestion... don't buy one of these.
