This snake showed up to threaten Shiro's ankles...
Shiro near one of lower falls in the series. This is adjacent to the abandoned house I photographed a while back.
You can't tell it in the pic, but the difference in elevation between my foot and where the water exits the frame at the top is a good 15'.
I just liked this one.
At one of the top falls, there was a group gathered to watch some kids jumping off the rocks into the pool below. We picked up a groupie or two, but I was feeling shy and mostly hid over the edge of cliffs and took photos of waterfalls while Shiro talked to them. I'm weird, I know. He has pics of them in his post here (and some good shots of his own, too).
I also picked up a small digital camcorder (the kind that writes to flash memory). It had just the right balance of features, ease of use (download mpeg4 compressed movies right off the cam, it shows up as a hard drive when you plug it in), and price I was looking for. I suspect it will come in very handy. I'll post some movies if I make anything worth posting. :)
