These shots made me very happy. They also made me want a better quality telephoto.

Very cool.
The one with the light streaming through the clouds is fantastic. What timing.

They were being very cooperative. And every time I would go to leave, one would make a call from somewhere below, and come floating up the mountainside. It rocked. :)

WOW! I am very impressed. These are great shots. I've tried to get some decent shots around here (SE Washington state) but the corvids are very shy because they're still hunted. We feed the magpies and crows all winter in our yard, so we get to see them all the time up close, but every time I pull out a camera they disappear into the trees.

Thanks for sharing!

Great shots! I had no idea how vicious these birds can be until I visited the Memphis Zoo recently. Have you been? China exhibit is excellent! Anyway, they have 2 bald eagles and 2 ravens in the same enclosure. The keepers said that if there weren't 2 bald eagles together the 2 ravens would probably gang up on the lone eagle and kill it. But then, you probably already knew that. :) I ramble sometimes. :D

Odd that they would put them in one enclosure like that, I wonder what the reason was?

Wow, these are terrific! Amazing timing skills, you've got. I adore all of them, especially the last two :> They all look like they're made of some kind of liquid black silk - very gorgeous. Would you mind if I saved a couple?

May I possibly use that last one for a tattoo?
