Tandoors are usually top-loading, so that might be appropriate.

If I have one, answering would surely get my place swarmed by cops trying to find it, and it can only cook so many of them at once. Too many, and not only will they be undercooked (food borne pathogens suck), but some might be able to climb out on top of the others, which sort of nullifies the value of an oubliette.

If I don't have one, answering would ruin the illusion that I might.

So I'm guessing my top loading wood stove would fit into this catagory? I never thought about shoving the kids in there. Maybe that's where I went wrong. Gee, I hope the cops don't show up now.

The thing that makes an oubliette is that the only entry/exit is in the ceiling and high enough to prevent escape. Maybe your stove would work for problematic hamsters. Rule of thumb: If you have to cram people into your oubliette, it's not large enough. That's a bit long for a T-shirt.

The cops are probably busy crawling MySpace for paedos and for kids who are dumb enough to post pictures of themselves drinking or posing with guns. There is always the risk, though.

Ahhhh, well then, Daniel is the only one who would fit in there without being crammed. I guess I waited too long for the others, wouldn't it kinda smell up the house anyway?

Oh, it most definitely would. Lime might keep the smell down, but depending on your ultimate goal, it might mess things up a bit. As the thread began with a reference to the Grimm fairy tale, the cooking would follow soon enough that lime wouldn't be needed.
