Oh joy

I've got one seriously sick Stormy here. We were all going to go to a family dinner Lorelei's educare program was putting on, but Storm was complaining of a stomachache with earnesty and full pathetic orchestration so I stayed home with her. The TV in the living room has been sporadically refusing to turn on, as was the case tonight, so got her all set up in my bed with cartoons and extra deluxe coziness.

About a half hour later I hear this sound. This INHUMAN sound. Like a Balrog with throat cancer gargling a tarpit on a tilt-a-whirl. My eyes get huge. I run to check on Storm.

Oh. My. God.
I have never seen a barf this bad. Not even that time I ended up in the hospital. Not even in *college*.

The poor thing. She is a mewling mess. I eventually got her stabilized and fully bathed, and then proceeded to deal with the aftermath.

I literally took the sheets outside and hosed them off.
I want to burn my bed.

At least she is resting! I bet you put a bucket by the side of the bed didn't ya?

Oh the trial and tribulations of parenting. Well you are a good daddy to stay up and watch over her! :)

A stainless steel bucket at that. For heavy-duty disinfecting.

You're a parent, though, you know how it is. It's not like it's a choice. You have to help them, because it kills you not to. I hate it when my kids are sick.

I am so sorry! I remember those days... my worst memory is sitting on the bleachers at a softball game and kirsten starts to not feel so good so I am holding so that her head is resting on my chest. all of a sudden she sits straight up and looks me in the face as she pukes all over my chest...

I hope your lil' darlin feels better real soon

that's actually how I met my older daughter. My wife (then girlfriend) brought Lorelei (about 6mos old) with her for our first "date"... dinner at my house. I took Lorelei from her and held her up in the air above me... and she puked all over me. Mel was mortified. But what can you do? I went and changed.

-snortsnickersmirk- Man I could tell you some stories that could top that, BUT OMG poor Storm.Give her hugs and kisses for me... well maybe not too tight hugs and just blow kisses at her or she might explode again.

yeah, no jostling the barf bomb.
I have a few stories that are pretty close, but we'll save those for charming discussion some other time. :)

And try this one on for size... how can such a small thing produce such a mass amount of vomit?

Wrap your brain around that one.

I was wondering that myself. I swear it was twice her volume.

That's horrible! For you and Stormy both. Hope she's feeling better soon.

she's been sleeping soundly for a while now. I'm considering going to bed.
