Dl'ed about 400 meg of mostly 80's music tonight. Having a blast just grabbing whatever from the 80's, mostly radio-play stuff, and listening. Gawd that was fun.

Also stocked up on Coldplay, Los Lonely Boys (you need some of this), Bikini Kill, the Halo Soundtrack, and The Cramps.

Ok, going to burn some cd's and go to bed.

I use WinMX. To retrieve files burned from my own cd's and stored at secure but remote locations that only I have access to, of course.

Ah - I won't be doing that, then. Those clients insist on two way traffic and we would rather not do that here...

I didn't look at them in detail. WinMX comes like that out of the box (sets up your incoming directory as your outgoing directory, sets incoming bandwidth throttle same as outgoing), but you can customize it and shut down all outgoing and turn off all shares if that is your desire.

I may look into it further, but I feel a vibe that filesharing in general (and downloading mp3s in particular) is not appreciated in this flat and I am not the sysadmin...
