Dumping half a liter of sewage into your shoe makes you feel really... special.

Had to tap in to the sewer line yesterday since the drain had moved considerably. Was removing old shower trap, which stupidly had it's low point lower than the sewer line (kinda defeats the purpose, eh?), and when it tilted the contents of the trap hit my thigh and went squarely into my shoe. Said shoes are still outside, needing some serious washing. And probably boiling.

On the upside, ultimate progress was made. Plumbing was hooked up, drain line was hooked up, fixtures installed.

I got to take a shower last night, in the new shower. :)

The rest is just trim work, painting, and getting the shelves done.

You got to take a shower in the shower :) okay.. yeah.. that sounded rather.. "duh" :P

Well, eww.. not much I can say for the shoe.

I hope the shower project from hell is over for you entirely soon, but the rest is easy stuff.. :)

Congrats!

Well, prior to taking a shower in the shower I took a shower in the basement, when the joint we forgot to glue gave out. :) So not as duh as you may think.

Gah, I hope we finish soon too. Mostly easy stuff now though, trim & flooring and paint.

hmm.. just sent you a text message, not sure if it'll get to you quickly or not.

Eep.. a shower in the basement that way wasn't what ya had in mind I suppose :)

Yep.. easier stuff now.. much.. trim, flooring (not sure what kind you're putting in), and paint isn't TOO bad.. it's work tho.. I know... I've got oh.. a whole house to do over the winter here..

got it, and I said yes. I am indeed a mango.

for flooring, we're just going with armstrong vinyl tiles.

Yes. Three hot water washes with bleach later.
