I am dismayed to report that after taking extraordinary measures, my computer continues to crash during photo editing. I formatted the drive, and reinstalled only windows + patches, antivirus, firefox and my graphics program. The same crash is still happening using the same tool. It wasn't doing this before... but now, making point to point selections... boom. Reboot. It's hard to do any serious editing when you can't make a selection area.

One must assume it is hardware at this point. I'm out of ideas though. I tested the memory, replaced the video and power supply. I could randomly start replacing other stuff (probably starting with the memory), but that would take fundage. And the problem with that scenario is that since I don't know what the problem is, I could replace a bunch of stuff, spending a bunch of money, and still not fix whatever it is.

So I'm biding my time until funding improves, and then I'm going to ditch this glorified paperweight entirely. And I'm going procure a shiny new... something.

My mood has also crashed. I can't tell if it's related to the computer crashing or not. Last night I went to bed feeling bummed about the computer, but this morning I woke up with the full blown crud brain. So I plod along, and cut myself some slack, and generally wish to be cuddled. Stupid brain. *kicks it*

I skipped eating lunch today in favor of walking around downtown with my camera. Some days it's more about the photos, some days it's more about the walking. Today was more about the walking. I took limited pictures, but I walked alot. Ok.

Curses!

Tell him to check with the companies tech support. It's definitely not a hardware problem if it only happens with this software. DON'T WASTE MONEY ON NEW PARTS!!

Contact the company, search messageboards. Do some research into the program. See if there is a service pack for the software. It should be software related.
