I used to draw eagles all the time when i was younger.... my son is drawing them lately too... eagles arefantastic creatures.... however, the first bird here reminds me of my boss..... I don't want to go back to work Tuesday.

Just pointed a small passel of Pagans at the shots. And the new icon is amazing.

Those are stunning. What lens? (asks the fellow 20D owner)

I shot these with the new Sigma 70-300mm F4-5.6 APO DG Macro that [livejournal.com profile] melanie got me for Xmas.

Nifty. Hmm, debatable whether I can justify an additional zoom just for the macro-ness of it, though....

It's quite reasonably priced for a lens.

Oh, no doubt, but I already have a lens of that sort of length (um, 70 - 300mm on my older film Canon, so whatever that is x 1.6 for the 20D) and can't really justify replacing it at this point. Sadly.

That's awesome.

I saw a bald eagle on my way back from South Dakota on 12/28. It was pretty cool, but I was going about 85. It was nothing like this shot. :-)
