20 minutes to go, then TGIF

TGIF everyone, and less than 20 minutes till I can get out of here. It's a good feeling, nay, a great feeling. This afternoon has been dragging like a 400lb guy on a tricycle. See, the new restaurant opened downstairs, the smell of gumbo wafting up the stairwell, and that combined with the surprise arrival of the lovely melanie convinced me to take lunch at 11:30 instead of my normal 1 or 2pm. Lunch was great! But now... not much going on, so... draaaaag.

I should have a new tripod waiting for me at home. I bought it off of ebay, so wish me luck. If I'm pleased with it, I'll do review. If I'm not... well, I'll post a warning.

Plans for the weekend include a trip to Whitetop Mtn for photography, if the roads/trails are navigable. I talked to an outfitter service in a nearby town about conditions up there, and they said it was 12 degrees, 40mph winds, and 6 inches of snow as of this morning. It's a toss up what the roads will be like. I'm crossing my fingers.

Been reading everybody, just not commenting much.

I've been in gumbo heaven... I also had a big pot waiting for me when I got back from Whitetop Mtn... chicken, shrimp & sausage.
