It's snowing out and I'm sitting here thinking about kayaking. I think I'm in trouble. :) If I had a wetsuit, I'd probably go anyway.

Come on, spring!

I worked at home yesterday, reorganizing our bedroom, doing laundry, etc. Not very exciting, but I feel so much more relaxed when I walk into the bedroom now. It used to make my brain hurt... too much clutter. I bought a new shelving unit, and shuffled things off to other closets, and it is much better now.

We had a small surprise party yesterday evening for the girls, at my parent's house. Just us, my mom and dad, and some friends that were visiting from West VA. Storm got two Barbie mermaid play sets, but she seems more interested in the cooking set, which she points out is REAL METAL and which Mel had to cook her an egg in this morning. :) Lorelei got several things but seemed particularly excited about the roller blades. And of course, it's snowing... lousy day for roller anything I suspect.

I really ought to shower and get dressed.
So I can think about kayaking.

Oooh, 11' kayak in the want ads, only $200. May have to check that out. :)

what kind of kayaking are you wanting to do?

cold weather the only way to go is a dry top

lake kayaking. thing is I have a sit-on-top with scupper holes, so I get wet no matter what. Thus, I need a certain degree of nice weather.

or a dry suit, but I don't have one.

snowing there and going to be upper 40's here.. odd weather.. lol

Yeah, comon Spring! I've been "gearing up" for a month or so now .. getting my kid clothes for summer, sandals, etc.. and for me too! And.. it's still cold and bleh!

Glad the party went well, and that Lorelei likes her rollerblades, that's a great age to get them. I think my daughter was her age when she got her first pair.
or maybe a year younger.
Either way- Cool!

If you are interested in a kayaking partner, let me know. I'm off for the next few sundays and would liek to go this spring before I can't get in the kayak or life jacket either one.

The word kayak always sounded like a noise you would make to get something out of your throat.

"He was kayaking his head off till someone came and slapped him on the back and unblocked his throat."
