My new ride, a 2005 Ford Focus. It's pretty good and stuff.

Misc:

Our pergola is done, now we just need to strip and paint the porch floor. One picture is worth a long droning descriptive paragraph.

Sunday we went to my parents. The kids went swimming, several times. I took pictures, washed the dog, got beat over and over by my Dad in a rally racing game, and ate heartily. I have quite a few pics to share.

Today I took

shirkarasu to Grandfather Mountain for his birthday. We hiked around, climbed ladders, took pictures. We then went down and looked at the animals. The bears were being cute and pathetic... catching peanuts, lolling about. Not really their fault though, they're locked up. The mountain lions were appropriately aloof but mildly cooperated with this photographer. I'm hoping some of the pics I took of them came out.

Tonight, Shiro brought his kids by, and Melanie made salmon and shrimp on the barbie for the grownups, hotdogs and jello for the kids. I'm stuffed.
