Back from New Orleans

misterxWell, I'm back. It was an amazing trip. I'm going to have to relate it in bits and pieces.
The evening of the 30th, after an awesome dinner at Landry's Seafood House, we were picked up by![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
cuntishness, captain_snarky, and Lee (whom I don't know to have an LJ). They drove us to a club called Howling Wolf, to hear the brass band Rebirth perform. I'm a fan of a good horn section, so I was looking forward to the music. What I didn't know, was that cuntishness, who is the official photographer for the band, had arranged for me to also shoot as her assistant. Rock! SO, I had offical permission to get in the bloody way and get some shots.
Rebirth was awesome... I totally loved it. Massive thanks tocuntishness for the press pass. :) For this post, I'm borrowing her habit of numbering images since there are so many.
1 ... I snagged a poster from a wall near the french market the next day

on 2006-10-04 11:25 am (UTC)18, each visible member has the perfect play face on. the saturations are great and no one is too dark or too washed out which is a lot harder than people imagine when shooting a band of varying skin tones with as shitty lighting as the howlin wolf had that night.
37, that angle is fucking brilliant.
45, for obvious reasons.

37 was the result of... "ok, I've shot everything at least twice... what else can I shoot?"
45 was two shots, stitched together.
I have pics from your house, but I want to run them by you before posting anything.
