I tried sitting like he was sitting. For your head to hang that low, it is very uncomfortable. This is not a position you choose. What that posture represents is the legs, knees, and forearms forming a mechanical structure, with the torso/head hanging from it, with no muscular input. I found the realization upsetting... it was a disarmingly direct sort of insight.
