Between visiting Bryson City and going to the Lake Eden Arts Festival, I probably took 500 shots this weekend, so I have a lot to go through. But here are three that I managed to finish this morning before work.

Juney Whank Falls

Juney Whank in b/w... I think I like the color version better.

Tom's Branch Falls... one of many shots.

i like the flow of water better down the b&w image of Juney Whank (what a name!). in fact, i think i like the b&w a little better, though the colors are really nice.

the Tom's Branch Falls image is probably my favorite, if only because it's like a dance.

I let the b/w one be more about the harshness of the rocks, whereas the color one is more about the softness of the foliage. I think it's interesting that the water picks up the characteristics of the scene it's in.

I have several more of Tom's Branch, I'll have to see what turns out. I took detail shots of various parts of the fall.

I do love how you can manipulate what you want to be seen.

I look forward to whatever else you have in store to show us. :)

Beautiful shots! I love black and white photography, but I would definitely agree that waterfalls look best in color. We love waterfalls ourselves, and these photos are really nice!!!

Gorgeous shots!!
:D
I like both color and b/w because.. they look like entirely different shots. Very cool how the colors affect the water.

The last shot is just stunning :)

I wish I could have gotten closer to the base of the last falls, that was my only regret. Unfortunately there was a river in the way.
