my new look

Well, I've been sick with fever and a cough since Tuesday. Long story short, I passed out today and whacked my head on the side of the shower, giving myself a nice gash on the forehead. I came around in about a minute or so, my first sight being a nice puddle of blood. The docs glued my head back together. I think it makes me look like a pirate. Arrr.

Yeah, but the doc left out some important info. I saw him again when I took Storm in yesterday. He says "if you want to get the glue off, about the only way to do it is with Vaseline". Now he tells me! Because I've been putting Neosporin on the lower half of the cut, where it was short on glue. And now all the glue was falling off down there. Wonder why!

You're awfully chipper for someone who is as sick as Mel describes you to be. Stay in bed and stay hydrated! Force yourself to sip lots of broth with lots of garlic. Really. It does help.

I've barely been online this week though... only time I've been on is when I've been feeling okay. Other days I've slept / been delirious all day.

I've been fever-free for three days now though, and I felt reasonably good all of yesterday, so I went back to work today. Other than missing my numerous naps, it went pretty well.

But the backlog... ack.
