My friend Eric Dennis had hurt his back and asked me if I could airbrush a skull and crossbones on his backbrace. Why not!


Went to Florida with my friend Derk during spring break one year. We went to visit my grandmother, but she was in the middle of a hot bingo game, so we borrowed her paddleboat. Paddled over by the reeds and Look! Baby Alligators! So we grabbed a couple, and brought them back to school as pets. Damn RA made me get rid of it halfway through the last semester though.

So much for vacation. The plan: ride my bike from Abingdon VA to Ann Arbor, Michigan. Meet up with friend Eric, put bikes on trailer, head west, tour around the grand canyon and such. The plan revised... get to Michigan, bike quits, won't start. Diagnose every electrical system, only to find after two days that the battery shorts out under load. Put bikes on trailer, head south 1 hour, alternator of Omni fails. We gave up, did the Blue Ridge instead.

Working in Clifton, NJ for Cardia Corp one summer w/Derk, tearing down an industrial smokestack from the inside out. It was quite tall when we started... it took almost an hour to climb the ladders to the top, and you could see the Statue of Liberty on a clear day. But, being a smokestack, it was also full of nasty stuff, so we had to wear goggles, masks, etc. so the dust from the jackhammer and/or sledgehammer wouldn't get us too bad.
