I'm sure I'd get an earful- since I have a walknut on my left shoulder. (Can we say Odinist does not equal Neo-nazi?Odinism and Asatru are RELIGION and Naziism is a philosphy- but many people equate the two)

This has probably been asked again and again, but why is a peace sign not acceptable? Wasn't Christ supposedly the "Prince of Peace"? Why is peace a satanic symbol in this man's eyes?

the peace symbol is seen by many christians as an upside down broken cross in a circle, a symbol of satan. they claim that it has been used as such for a long time and the popularity of this symbol in the 60's as one of peace is only a ploy to get uninformed people to wear the mark of satan without knowing it. because satan is the father of lies, all who wear 'his' symbol, thinking it a peace symbol or not, are part of his army when rapture comes.

Towards the bottom it reads: "There have been claims that the symbol has older, occult or anti-Christian associations... Various far-right and fundamentalist American groups have also spread the idea of Satanic associations or condemned it as a Communist sign."

This is probably why he doesn't tattoo the peace sign - it has nothing to do with any beliefs about peace. It has more to do with the incorrect belief that it has satanic associations.

Please don't confuse the mistaken ideas of one group of misguided people to represent the world view of all Christians. As with any belief system, Christianity has its fanatics who manage to twist it into something ugly. People are still people, regardless of whom they claim to follow.
