This is the color as it comes out of the camera, after I set a custom white balance so they aren't pure red

These are various sepia tones

Those look amazing. I keep meaning to ask you, how do you shoot IR with a digital?

You screw a Hoya R72 infrared filter on the front, and expect long exposure times.

On a digital SLR, right? Any hope for those with a standard point-and-shoot non-fancy camera?

Depends on what you have, and if you could mount such a filter on it. Most digitals come with an IR filtering coating between the sensor and the lens, but it doesn't filter all IR. If your camera will let you do long exposures, you can likely get some IR going. The question is, how much duct tape will be involved to mount the filter. :)

I opted to leave it in the IR colors for that reason, it brought out that feeling better than black and white or sepia.
