Went shopping today for clothes. I picked up:

3 pairs of pants
1 pair of jeans
6 long sleeve shirts
2 short sleeve shirts
2 pairs of slacks for Mel
2 pairs of jeans for Storm
1 dress for Storm

Total: $39.50

Thrift stores rock. :)

Here: have some wintry weeds...

Was your family with you? 'Cause if they weren't, and all that stuff successfully fit, I'm very impressed with you!

Ah, and here I was thinking, "Damn, he's good!"

Still, thrifty is an incredibly wonderful quality to have, so you're still a superhero in my eyes! :D

I could have bought for Storm, but Mel looked first.

And you know... frankly it's a real treat to buy your jeans already broken in. :)

Most of my -really- favorite pairs of jeans came from Good Will. I agree with you, there. I just can't justify paying $50 or more for a pair of pants. I don't know when clothing prices got so ridiculous, but...gah.

Yeah, I have a really hard time shopping for clothes at regular prices. Especially when I think... hey... I could get a whole wardrobe for the cost of this one pair of jeans.

We have a really great one near us for clothing. No shirts/pullovers/pants over $5.

Thrift stores are awesome.
I went to one little bitty one that benefitted a small orphanage here in Kentucky. It burned to the ground one night about 3 months ago and I was heartbroken... I'd found so much STUFF there!(and lets face it- I FILLED the trunk and back seat of a lincoln town car with clothes, toys and books all for less than $50.(yes, nickel shirts for kids, nickel jeans for kids, shoes, I even got a glider footstool thrown in.)They had dishes when we needed dishes, they managed to find things we needed and contacted us.(It seemed they had a little list of people who needed items or wanted items. They'd call the people who NEEDED first and the people who just wanted to acquire cheap antiques were called after the needy people were dealt with)
I enjoyed the store and had volunteered a couple of hours when the elderly couple who were minding the store had a minor emergency and didn't want to close.(I was there, I was free and I was looking to buy. I offered to keep it open for them and kept a record of transactions, only two, just about $3, but it was $3 that went to orphaned disabled kids. And THAT is why I went to THAT thrift store and not some others.)
BTW, got a car at auction Thursday.

Opportunities Unlimited.

There is 10x times as much clothing for women as for men, so go for it.

Which one was it? I go to Clothesline sometimes. I haven't been to the Frontier Health one in eons, but should probably go (maybe they'll have jeans. Clothesline has been a fail for shirts and jeans for me lately). I haven't tried that Plato's place, I heard it was expensive. Those are the only ones I know of in JC.

Clothesline has been a fail for me for shirts too! I did find 2 pair of jeans in there yesterday when I went.
I went to Plato's Closet once and they were really high.

Clothesline has been recommended to me, but I've never been there. What are prices like?

I've gotten jeans in there for 6 bucks... the shirts are usually around 5 or 6 dollars.

Would you by any chance have that wintery weeds print to sell? Hmmm?

Yup. ANYTHING I post can be ordered. I just suck at updating my website. Though I did update pricing, it's been lowered to reflect the deep state of suck the economy is in.

You can get it in 8x10 (will require me to crop it a bit), 8x12, 12x18, and 16x24.

I think your kids are absolutely beautiful but I don't think I'd buy pictures of them. I'm a single gal and I can't be giving potential suitors the wrong idea! ;)

Ok, so I want that wintery weeds in 12x18 and I also want another picture I have been thinking about for what feels like years--Flower with Moss. Now I can find the flower with moss on the site but not the wintery weeds (unless I'm not looking in the right place). So how should we go about this? I just tell you and send you the dough via Paypal? Or you want me to order via the site?

Just tell me (which you just did) and Paypal the money ($55 for the two prints).

Ok, done! I will be looking forward to finally getting that Flower with Moss (I have coveted it since the first time you posted a picture of it hanging on your wall.)
