Miss Bigoted USA
Apr. 21st, 2009 08:39 amI don't know if the entrant from California lost the Miss USA pagent due to the way she answered the "do you support gay marriage" question, but I hope so. Its a hateful and bigoted viewpoint, not to mention unconstitutional. The fewer prominent public figures we have continuing to spout this modern day equivalent of racism, the better.

on 2009-04-21 01:47 pm (UTC)Except that you can't choose same sex marriage in most states, the government won't allow it. Being from California, which just passed Proposition 8 in favor of forbidding gay couples from marrying, I think it was appropriate for Perez to ask her.

Perhaps it means people that think will actually think about the issue and come to the reasonable conclusion that separate but equal never is.
