Why, if you go to Amazon and enter Amazon.com in the search field (early morning error, don't ask), does it offer this as the first result?

Maybe the massage is done with large, Amazonian women. No?

I've typed urls into Google before. Too many times. And search terms in the URL bar. I usually figure it out. Sometimes, but not always, before I hit enter. I know, Google isn't Amazon, but the mechanism (absentmindendly typing the wrong thing in a field) is the same, and I don't have an Amazon story.

If it were Google, the phrase "I'm Feeling Lucky" might be applicable. Since it is the first result, and, well, hey; sexual massage.

In this case the mistake was typing amazon.com into the Firefox search box, which was already set to Amazon. After getting the weird result I put Chrome in pr0n mode and went straight to Amazon to try the search. Same result.

That's even more forgiveable. I always have that box set to Google. It saves me having to pull up the Google web page just to make a search. So when/if it gets set to something else, I'm in for some confusion. But, then, waking up will do that too.

Yeah, I verified it at Amazon's site. With results that will not surprise you at all.

Seems like it ought to point to a new coffee maker. :-)

Maybe they have an unusually high opinion of themselves. ;)
