Weird day in Internet land, half-ass connectivity

Thought the net was out this morn, but noticed things here and there will still working. Our VOIP lines still work. Facebook and Livejournal IM still work (though yahoo, gmail and others dont). I can get to yahoo but not google, can't get to microsoft. I can get to LJ. Windows update can tell me there are updates, but it won't download them. Stupid flaky internet.

I got an email about an hour ago from someone else in JC having random internet problems. Wonder if it's something local? We're doing fine here @ work.

So, for some strange reason Facebook suggested Melanie as a friend. Still scratching my head on that one. I came across YOUR Facebook by extension (obvs) and added you. Hope that's okay.
