One injured Storm

Storm was climbing the tree in the side yard today and she fell. She got a concussion, broke three teeth, was delirious, and got pretty bruised up. They did a cat scan though and no internal bleeding. We're leaving the hospital now.

Oy, big scare is right. And this after just watching one of those coroner shows where a guy died from brain bleeding, hours later after conking his head.

oh, poor sweetie! And poor you guys, what a fright! I'm so glad you all knew to check the brain injury potential, and that that checked out okay. Now she needs time and lots of hot chocolate and cookies and hugs and whatever makes her happy.

She has already suggested we put cookies and milk in the blender for her. I see no reason not to. Her teeth hurt though. :(

Oh, poor babygirl. How frightening for all of you. I am so glad that there is no internal bleeding. I hope she mends quickly. Will she need dental work on top of that, or were baby teeth damaged?

It was three adult teeth, so she will need work. The hospital gave us the number of a good cosmetic dentist for children. Insurance of course says "no, we won't pay for that".

I still remember the heart stopper (including screeching like a girl) when my god son fell down the stairs head first... I was still shaking half an hour later and he wasn't even hurt!

Hopefully she will feel better soon and you all won't have another scary as hell experience anytime soon!!!

actually I screeched like a girl, he was shell shocked for a min and then started crying once my panic got through to him...
I think him not crying would have set me bawling :(

Poor gal, I hope today wasn't too painful for her, and she's mending well. It must have been really scary for you and Mel, too, I get a butterfly in my tummy just thinking about it.
