Compliments will get you nowhere

My boss walks in and looks at me and says "What happened to you? Did you walk into a door?"
Um..... no... why?
"You've got two black eyes."
I do?
I checked the mirror. Yeah, sort of. I forgot lack of sleep does that to me. I've got this head cold that's been keeping me up the last several eves. Not to metion making me emit lovely nose blowing and snuffling sounds with annoying frequency.
I'm trying not to make Melanie sick before her surgery. That would be bad. But this bathing in Listerine thing is getting old.
But man am I *minty*.
In other news, I've made some decisions regarding selling photos. For now, I'm just going to sell unmounted, unframed prints. It will be the simplest, and won't require me to buy mounting materials and mattes and stuff. If that goes ok, and I make a little money, I'll get the materials and see how matting/mounting them goes. Despite the thought of spending cash terrifies me right now, I bit the bullet and ordered some test prints last night to see how they look. I know the 8x10's will be great, but I want to verify the 16x20's will be up to snuff. The 16x20's are printed on a matte photo stock, and I want to see it before I start offering it. I'm trying to look at this from a "you have to spend money to make money" stance, but it's hard not to feel guilty anyway.
I'm going to go back and start recropping the photos I want to sell to the 5:4 aspect ratio, and get to work on the website.

on 2004-03-19 01:51 pm (UTC)I am going to be bringing one of the local art movie theaters my friends photos to see if they would be intersted in them for there slide show between each movie. (they are allways looking for new people to showcase.)
I would be glad to allso send you the info and be the physical go between if you want. Now it is in another state but if the slides were watermarked with your info and you had cards for people you could prob get some custumers. I think you do some lovely work, but you should know that by now

Cropping the photos yourself is a good idea...otherwise someone else is going to do it at the print place.
