I'm of the opinion that there's no such thing as "too many" but that's just me. :D Cuts are good for people who are picky about their friends page, but it's just an extra step to the eyecandy for me.
I don't care really. I find your photos pleasing and they don't slow me down (but then I have dsl). It might be good to cut tag them for dial up users though.
I likes 'em as is! I personally find when someone posts pictures a bit spaced out, time-wise, I seem to ... absorb them more, I guess - but that's probably just me :) I love the pics however you post them!
interesting thing you noticed there. If you post one pic, you find out what people think of it. If you post more than one, the universal reaction seems to be for people to pick which is "the best", and the rest don't get any consideration. If you post a subtle pic along with a flashy one, the subtle one may be the better pic, but it doesn't get noticed.
My thinking is that its YOUR Journal. For me, they aren't huge, they are an excellant size and being on cable, they don't take forever to load. Besides, uousually there's only one that's not behind a cut. Other people don't put all their pictures behind cuts(I do when they are huge, but small ones like this I won't), so why should you have to?
Your photos are awesome, and you generally do cut tag when there's more than one. And the times you've done otherwise haven't been overbearing at all. I think you've been handling it perfectly.
No! I hate cuts. I like having pictures on my friends list, especially yours! Heck, I co-mod a photo community where one of the rules is no LJ-cuts!
Something fun to try when you name your pictures: give it a name that has absolutely nothing to do with the picture, just to confuse people. I like long, melodramatic ones, myself.
your photos rock.. no cuts.. unless you post 200 at once, then a cut might be good. You're my favorite photographer, so why'd I want to have them all hidden? I see no logic in that.
from the overall tally here you're not pissing anyone off and if you are they must not care to tell ya, so post away!
1. you can never post too many pics. You and cuntishness are really the only reasons I come to check LJ. Keep em commin' :) 2. It doesnt matter how you post them..as long as you post them. :) 3. I'd like to put in a request for some 'not work safe' pics as mentioned by someone else. ;) the human landscape is beautiful too.

on 2005-11-09 04:50 pm (UTC)I think the first in a set should be un-cut, the rest should be cut-tagged, as you've been doing.

No.
That person should turn on the setting in their LJ that makes images into little icons if they have a problem with it, or just scroll past.
