misterxSo much stuff going on, and I've not been updating! This may be a bit random.
***Birthdays galore... yesterday was Lorelei's birthday. We took her out to Waffle House for breakfast (she has TCAP testing at school, so we wanted to start her day off with something non-crappy), and also for dinner after work (Chinese Buffet). Back at home, we arranged 13 candles on the chocolate cake, topped it with fresh raspberries, and let her blow them out. She picked black candles... technically for the 50+ over the hill celebration, but she said they looked cool. Present wise, she got shirts, CD's, a nice journal, jewelry... and a new computer. She now has the fastest machine in the house. She seemed quite pleased with all this. I was up late last night, doing updates, installing antivirus, etc.
***I've been going through old 8mm magnetic tapes for my camcorder, and converting them to digital. It is fun seeing Lorelei being 3 again, seeing the old house(s), etc. It's amazing how she's changed since then. I feel so old... it's worth it. I love that kid amazingly.
***This weekend is the Garden Fair, so Mel will be up in Abingdon Fri, Sat & Sun, and I'll have the kids. Also, her parents are coming into town, so I guess I'm entertaining them too. It will be a busy weekend. Not sure what form this will take yet.
***My dad has offered to redo our back deck and put up a pergola for Melanie's birthday. This is very generous of him. It will be nice to have that deck be more habitable. Right now, no privacy, too much sun. I'm waiting to hear from him on what comes next.
***I bought some push up stands, which arrived yesterday. I did about 50 pushups over a few sets last night... which confirmed for me it's been a while since I've done this. :) I like them a lot though, better position for my wrists, and I can dip deeper, working the muscles better. cz_unit and his family. Very friendly, down to earth folks. Haven't heard word if visiting Dollywood has scared them off this whole "move to TN" idea or not.
***I have been shooting photos, and have some to share, I just need to process them. Maybe today? Maybe? Cool bumblebee in flight shots. :)
***I think I saw a gazelle in my front yard. I may need to mow again.
I'm sure there's more that I'm forgetting, but it's a start.

Sounds like you've got a very busy weekend in store for you as well :)
good luck with that lawn mowing.. :) or you could get some goats, I like goats.. they eat the grass... ;)
