I've had "Separate Ways" by Journey stuck in my head since I woke up.

Here you go:

I hate when that happens.
I'd give you a substitute, but it would probably be just as bad.

yeah, I couldn't think of anything that could displace it without replacing it and being just as annoying.

I have a friend who insists that singing "Yellow Submarine" washes away the bad stuff and leaves nothing but squeaky-clean.

I suspect each of us has our own "Yellow Submarine," we just have to figure out what it is.

Sometimes I just have to put the song on endless repeat in winamp to exorcise it. Which I am truly loath to do in this instance.

You are a victim of the insidious earworm. The only known cure is a software reboot. This can be accomplished through taking a nap. overriding the current selection with a new one or the application of a hammer to the side of the head. I usually pick number 2 because the hammer tends to make a mess.

I've heard that having sex with a beautiful woman can cure it.

Ok, I actually haven't, but I'm willing to try.

*snicker* I hauled out the ol' Journey's Greatest Hits yesterday while I was mopping.

To say Kent was disturbed when he walked in would be putting it mildly...;)

She's been pretty busy, and hurting on and off. She's closing the shop.

It could be worse. It could be Tom Jones.

Aw, I actually really like that song. But I agree, even that would likely drive me crazy. I'm prone to fierce earworms.

Last night I had Extreme's "Hole Hearted" making me crazy, so I grabbed my phone (which I have stuffed with some of my favorite songs) and played Devo's "Here to Go" which is very strange and annoyingly catchy. Very seldom can I get something out of my head unless I replace it with something I am actually listening to and is catchier. Otherwise, it either fails or just layers or alternates...which is more annoying. :-p
