Not too long ago, a certain person who shall remain [livejournal.com profile] nonspecific was at our house, obstensively to retrieve her child, but really to hang out. In the process of hanging, as often happens, my camera found its way into my hand, and photos were taken. These are those photos. Plus a couple extras. :)

1. Nonspecific:

2.

3.

4. Melanie with Shoulder Cat, aka Sinbad

5.

These next two need explanation, and credit. They are not by me. They are of me.

6. This was taken by Nonspecific, I don't recall what we were talking about.

7. The second, was taken by Cheryl, a photographer out of Abingdon. She took several shots of me. They all looked more or less like this. Taken at Abrams Falls.

if it has a geared center column, it probably can't. if it has a "quick column", it probably can.

I *almost* bought a new tripod. I decided to just go with a new head for now. Providing the new head fits my existing tripod, I'll be keeping it. On the chance that the new head doesn't fit, would you be interested in my current 'pod? It's carbon fiber, has retractable rock spikes, and I can provide two quick release plates. It's seen use, I won't lie, but it's solid.

I'm changing heads only because I want a ballhead that uses Manfrotto RC2 compatible plates, so I can use one of these: http://www.camdapter.com/ My current head is damn close, but the RC2 plate fits just a tad loose, which means it may as well not fit at all.

The only thing is shipping would probably cost a lot.

Actually this may not make sense, considering you could probably buy one new at best buy for what shipping would be.
