Some of these results surprised me, so I thought I'd share. Commentary follows the list. According to my webstats, these are my ten most popular* photographs:

* popularity defined as hits to the page for that photo

Ok, I will admit that it's slightly bothering me that the cat, the otters and the butterfly are in this list. There are a lot better photos that I'd like to see the top ten. But, I also know there is a story behind some of these that explains their ranking... for instance, Meow has been posted to more than one cat lover forum, which generates page hits. So some of these are in here for the subject of the photo. I agree with the inclusion of 6, 4, 2 and 1. These are reasonable choices, and they have merit. Oddly enough, I've only sold prints of 4 of the top then. I swear, sometimes looking at webstats generates more questions than answers.

I think it might be interesting to pick what I would like to see in the top ten. Or maybe pick "the underappreciated top ten"... photos I like artistically that I think are overlooked. Hmm.

Well, number one is a worthy winner, for sure!

Yeah. I wish I could shoot it again with my current equipment, but often you only get one chance at these things.

I'm told a lot of photographers want to go back and reshoot old work. :)

I'm surprised that "Satellite 1" didn't make it to the list. All of these selections are beautiful, but that one took my breath away.

I've downloaded the software from Blurb and made two false starts. It's a bit intimidating a project to tackle. I'm still mulling it. I mull too much. Mull mull mull.

I'd love to see what YOU consider your top 10. And wonder how difficult that would be for you, selecting only ten.

One of my favorites, and I'm not sure if it's on your site, was of a bee hovering in mid-air. The waterfall ones are those that first caught my eye, but the bee was quite impressive. ^_^

I am in love with #4. I would hang out there for hours and watch the lightin change.

I think it would be so interesting to pick your personal top ten. And of course being selfish I would want the the background story for each.

Then your legs would be numb, because you'd be standing in thigh-deep, very cold water in a chilly grotto!

I think a background story would be mandatory.

I shall be so enthralled with the scenery my legs wouldn't feel it, and I have long legs, so maybe I would be lucky and not have them totally immersed.

Can't wait for the pics and stories!

Are you done yet?

How about now?
